Vascular surgeons tailor their procedures to the specific needs of their patients. Intraoperative volume blood flow measurements with Transonic Vascular Flowprobes (FMV-Series) provide a vascular surgeon with on-the-spot, quantitative feedback about their surgery. The measurements may confirm what appears to be an acceptable surgical result, or alert the surgeon to potential problems at a time when they can be readily addressed.
Volume flow measurements with FMV Vascular Flowprobes are used to:
- Check the quality of inflow at the onset of a bypass.
- Quantify the carrying capacity of a bypass, and check for kinks or twists in a graft.
- Quantify augmentation of outflow, and confirm the patency of the operative repair.
FMV-Series Vascular Flowprobes feature a short flexible neck for applications where the artery, vein, or graft is readily accessible. The J-style reflector is designed to quickly slip around the vessel and maintain optimal vessel alignment while performing a flow measurement. Their universal design makes them applicable for use in general vascular, transplant, and/or cardiac surgeries.
