Transonic Systems solicits Original Equipment Manufacturer's (OEM) Projects in
which flowmetering systems are custom engineered for incorporation in medical or industrial apparatus. These systems permit medical equipment manufacturers to
take advantage of proven and accepted transit-time volume flowmetering technology to enhance the performance of their own medical products with a
minimal investment in engineering time and cost.
Proven Accuracy in Clinical & Experimental Flow Measurement in:
- Bypass Pumps
- ECMO Apparatus
- Infusion/transfusion/perfusion Apparatus
- Dialysis Systems
- Organ Preservation Apparatus
- Ventricular Assist Devices
Systems can be designed to:
- accept any standard Transonic flowsensor (sterile tubing clamp-on, perivascular, in-line);
- reject all non-compatible flowsensors;
- implement any standard Transonic metering feature (volume flowsensing, bubble detection, sensor diagnostics)
Systems can be supplied with their own output displays, or with analog or digital
outputs to communicate directly with the OEM's central signal processor.
Functional Equivalency
OEM flowmetering systems are functionally equivalent to standard Transonic
flowmeters which the FDA has classified as regulatory Class II Medical Devices. While an original equipment manufacturer is generally required to receive the
FDA's permission to market a full product, the Transonic flowmetering technology embedded within their product will not be a hindrance to the FDA's eventual
permission to market.
All Transonic OEM flowmetering modules and flowsensors are manufactured under FDA's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO9001 guidelines.
