Wed, Nov. 2 - Wed, Nov. 2
Assessing Cardiac Function using Pressure Volume Loops and Flow
A Hands-On Workshop in the Large Animal
The Cardiovascular Research Institute
Wayne State University School of Medicine
Detroit, MI
November 2, 2011
Pressure volume analysis using catheter technology has become the method of choice for complete assessment of cardiac function. Learn these techniques in a full day workshop of demonstration and seminars that will explore how and why pressure volume measurements are applied, how flowprobes are used in conjunction and best practices surgical techniques for in vivo instrumentation in the large animal.
Attendees will have a unique opportunity to place catheters and generate data under the instruction of Dr. Javier Sala-Mercado, large animal research coordinator and cardiovascular surgeon at the CVRI, an internationally acclaimed center of excellence.
Registration is limited to provide the best learning environment. Please respond early to avoid disappointment.
